We are finally here in the Low Country. Georgetown was a big surprise to us. It is a really neat town with wonderful restaurants, upscale shops and a boardwalk along the water front. We got an early start heading down the waterway, reminded along the way of the beauty of the marshes and the low country in general. An added treat was finding that our boat fit under the Ben Sawyer Bridge which meant not waiting for an opening. Mary Mueller and her son Kenneth came to pick us up after docking in Mt. Pleasant and we spent a wonderful evening with the Mueller family eating red fish from Joe's most recent catch and playing with grandson JT. We may just stay for three days so that we have time to visit with other friends here in the Charleston area.
