Rich
For the past few days our engines have been due for their 2000 hour service, which includes a 52 quart oil change. A call to a South Carolina Caterpillar repair facility (found in a cruising guide ad) at 7:30 this morning actually produced a very competent mechanic on board by noon with tools and parts in hand. We traveled about eight miles from our anchorage to a convenient marina in the Sea Pines section of Hilton Head Island and should be finished and ready to head South by Wednesday morning. Pictured are several of the engine coolers that are being removed to be cleaned and returned tomorrow. Hildy spent the day catching up on emails, laundry and cruising the shops on shore.
...and Steve's answer to yesterday's question was correct.
