The Plan of the Day
09 April 2010 | Near Doboy Island, GA

After studying the day's weather forecast for strong North winds Rich decided that we should stay on the ICW and also slow down so that we would travel the Little Mud River close to high tide to avoid its extremely low water at other times, as we noted on the way South. We forgot to mention that yesterday from our anchorage we saw a submarine on its way out to sea escorted by an impressive security detail of two big tugs, a helicopter and two other very large vessels as it proceeded down the river. Tonight we are anchored in a lovely spot, peaceful and removed from any activity. In fact we saw very few other boats travelling all day. The photo was taken yesterday on Cumberland Island, GA.
