We arrived at noon yesterday at Toler Cove Marina in Mt. Pleasant where Lindsay Payne has graciously provided the use of his slip for a few days while his boat is away at a boatyard. Last night we spent the evening being entertained by Lindsay and Yolanda along with their son Brad and his wife Anne Magill, but mostly by their nine month old granddaughter, Merritt. As we crossed Charleston harbor yesterday morning we were alerted by the Coast Guard to a security zone around a submarine being towed up the Cooper River. It turned out to be the Sam Rayburn, my home during my XO tour, and now used as a moored propulsion plant training ship, on its way back to its berth at the Naval Weapons Station.
