We spent the day on the Atlantic from Georgetown, SC to Southport, NC to once again avoid the section of the ICW running past Myrtle Beach. Any place referred to by boaters as The Rock Pile does not really sound inviting. The day was mostly cloudy but after a wet start the predicted rain held off and we had fair winds and mostly following seas for the rest of the day. We then met our friend Iris Allard for dinner in Southport - a good day all around. The sunset view was from the restaurant. Tomorrow we will start up the North Carolina section of the ICW.
