The Longest Day

We had perfect weather and used most of the daylight available on this first day of summer, anchoring at sunset outside Rockport, MA harbor on the North side of Cape Ann, 108 miles from where we started in Jamestown. A highlight of the day was transiting the Cape Cod Canal but the all out best moment was seeing a group (pod?) of whales spouting just as we rounded the corner from the Atlantic toward Cape Ann. It was a bit difficult to get the whales to time their spouting to the pointing and shooting of my camera - lots of pictures of water - so we will have to do with the picture of the Rockport waterfront.
