We were able to leave our anchorage this morning without entangling any of the many lobster pots surrounding us. Rich plotted our course for the day, one direct line to Cundy's Harbor in Harpswell, ME. The Gulf of Maine was flat calm and hazy. The highlight of the trip was again more whale watching - one actually surfaced just in front of the boat. That was very exciting. Cundy's Harbor is an authentic working harbor with a long history of hard working lobstermen/women making it the perfect lobster stop before continuing along the coast to Camden. Cousins Denise and Sam Schwartz secured a mooring for us just in front of the lobster restaurant and Denise was on the dock to welcome us. Sam joined us later for our first lobster meal of the season. For an extra treat we were introduced to Denise and Sam's new kittens, Mara and Mario. They are all black, fluffy and full of energy. All in all a perfect welcome back to Maine.
