It was a dark and stormy night and the rain came down in torrents and the Captain on the bridge called out - Hey, there's a sailboat drifting by. Actually it was a hot and steamy day yesterday and it's pleasant and breezy today. We are anchored in Shelburne Bay, VT a few miles South of Burlington. Overnight when the wind changed from none to about 15-20 knots one of the 20 large sailboats anchored with us drifted through the anchorage while horns and lights from surrounding boats were unable to wake the crew. They ended up managing not to hit any other boats and in the morning safely re-positioned from their resting place against the rocky shore. Fortunately the water is fairly deep right up to the shoreline and no apparent damage was done. We spent some time swimming off the boat yesterday and today we will do some exploring of shoreline trails before meandering back to Willsboro.
