North Haven, the Town

It was a shame to disturb the still and peaceful morning we awoke to so we took our time departing from Holbrook Island. The course from Holbrook Island to North Haven had us passing by a lot of breathtaking scenery including big and small, treeless and forested islands; each one a jewel. The town of North Haven was more than I expected it to be. There is a ferry from Rockland bringing daily tourists and a healthy summer population to support a few galleries, two restaurants, some gifts shoppes and an active community center. Rich went to a lecture at the center given by Jerry Manock, who had been Steve Jobs' industrial designer in the early years at Apple. We are ready to return to Camden. The laundry and garbage is overtaking us and our water tank is getting low and holding tank filling up. It has been a totally brilliant two weeks of island hopping.
