Rich
After leaving Harpswell we cruised to Seguin Island, a few miles off the mouth of the Sheepscot River. There is a sheltered cove on the North end of the island with free moorings to allow going ashore to climb the high rocky hill to the more than 200 year old lighthouse and a magnificent view. After mooring we had lunch on board while waiting for the tide to recede enough to expose the small beach that would allow landing our dinghy. We were also watching our weather radar warning of potential severe thunderstorms and decided to come back on a better day. We cruised on to Port Clyde where we spent the night on a harbor mooring after a walk on shore and a visit to the local pub.
