A Mooring Close to Home

Brilliant spent the winter snug and warm in a building at Journey's End Marina in Rockland, ME, while we enjoyed the 120" of snow that fell from early November through early April while moving into our new house in Camden. Launching was in mid May, just a few weeks after all traces of snow were gone and we were excited to find out in early June that we have a spot in the Camden town mooring field. The mooring is in Sherman's Cove which is part of Camden's outer harbor and the dinghy dock we use is a five minute walk from our house. The cove is open to the South but fairly well protected from the other three sides. So far we have only done a couple of short day cruises in Penobscot Bay with visiting family but look forward to longer trips as the weather warms this summer.
