Brilliant Lobsters

We left Isle au Haut on another clear calm day about 9 am for a three hour cruise to Frenchboro on Long Island, determined to have our first dockside lobsters of the season, having found on line that the Lunt Deli on the dock in Lunt Harbor was now open daily from 11 to 7. We arrived there about noon and after a leisurely lunch Rich went ashore to pay for our mooring at the Deli and check on the hours for our lobster dinner. He happened to get there at 1:55 to find out they're only open from 11 to 2 until July. The very nice gal on duty offered to cook us two lobsters on the spot which made for a great first ever lobster meal a few hours later on Brilliant's fly bridge with the mountains of Acadia National Park on Mt. Desert in the distance. We found out from our lobster cook that she is studying to be an elementary school teacher with hopes of becoming the island school teacher upon graduation and that the Frenchboro school also has only three students.
