A Quiet Overnight
01 July 2016 | Warren Island State Park, ME

With the weather again near perfect we spent an hour cruising to nearby Warren Island State Park, moored overnight on one of the park moorings, enjoyed a spectacular sunset and starry night, hiked and kayaked around the island the next morning and returned to Camden the next day for the 4th of July weekend and a week of visiting family. We were joined at Warren by several other cruisers and the Camden Schooner, GRACE BAILEY. They had a dinner on shore for their passengers, which was not surprising. What was surprising was four of their passengers who splashed past us, swimming the 200 or so yards to shore in the not quite 60 degree water while we were enjoying our dinner on board.
