Shooting Stars
11 August 2016 | Pulpit Harbor, North Haven Island, ME

We have at least two weeks with nothing on our schedule and planned to do some cruising. With a period of thunderstorms forecast for the upcoming weekend we decided to do an overnight to Pulpit Harbor on the West side of North Haven Island, about an hour’s cruise from Camden and one of our favorite anchorages, and then wait until Monday to embark on a longer cruise. The night was clear and excellent for viewing the meteor shower. No pictures but did see two spectacular “shooting stars” shortly after midnight and following a great sunset. The picture is a garage door seen on a walk around the island.
