Thunderstorms are over, Brilliant is stocked with food and water and we're ready to head "Downeast" . We left Camden just before lunch and in very calm waters anchored in Mackerel Cove on the North side of Swan's Island, just South of Mt. Desert, at 3:30. We had been to Swan's a few years ago but had stayed on the South end of the Island. Swan's is fully devoted to lobstering with about 350 full time residents, although there are about three times as many summer people. After an afternoon walk on the island we just relaxed and watched the increasingly beautiful sunset over the mountains of Acadia.
