Cool Running

The weather was clear yesterday but winds were 15-25 all day so we remained snugly anchored in Oxford until this morning, and in fact caught up on our reading. This morning the harbor was a flat calm and the air 42 degrees as we got underway at sunup to continue South on the Chesapeake. We encountered only moderate winds and waves but gradually warming temperatures throughout the day as we shed layers of clothing and finally docked at a Marina in Heathville, VA, 65 miles further South, on the West side of the Chesapeake, where we could fill our tanks, stretch our legs and do some laundry. The temperature was a welcome 73 degrees on arrival.
