Our first day solely on the Intracoastal - flat calm, desolate scenery, shallow water and either passing slower sailboats or being passed by faster power boats all manned by other "snowbirds" heading south. We anchored this afternoon just north of Abermarle Sound and about 10 miles south of Coinjock, NC. So far three other cruisers have anchored with us.
