The day was once more warm and calm. More and more “snowbirds” are appearing in our travels each day. We ended the day at a marina in Beaufort, our first time there and where we will remain for two days while we wait for a predicted cold front and accompanying high winds and some rain to pass tonight and tomorrow. We did a walking tour of Beaufort after arriving and had a wonderful dinner at a restaurant called Beaufort Grocery, recommended by a local woman Hildy met on the street. Tomorrow we will do some shopping as the marina offered us the use of a car. Beaufort is an old, compact well preserved town whose main feature is its waterfront.
