Yesterday was foggy, drizzly and cool so we decided to remain in Annapolis and spent the day snug on board reading and relaxing. We left this morning after a quick dinghy trip ashore for the Sunday NY Times. The day was calm and mostly clear as we transited the northern end of the Chesapeake and then the C & D Canal into the Delaware Bay. Apart from the Sunday fishing boats the traffic we passed were a few giant cruise ships, merchants and barges. We're spending the night at the Delaware City Marina just above the eastern entrance to the Canal and will decide in the morning whether to stay longer before heading down the Bay to Cape May as the forecast for the next two days is for 20 to 30 mph winds and rain.
