We began our cruise into New York harbor at 7:30 am to get the maximum flood current up the East River. It was a bit foggy at the start but cleared as we proceeded north and reached the tip of Manhattan and Liberty Island. We are staying tonight in a marina in Stamford, CT and spent the evening reminiscing with friends Mark and Fong who drove over from New Jersey and whom we hadn’t seen in over 15 years.. They had been following our blog and contacted us to find a place to meet during our travels.
