Our Rhode Island visit included an overnight on Friday with Beth and Jared in Providence giving us lots of good family time with both families together as well as some visiting time with old neighbors. After two days of heavy rain and winds we left this morning under sunny skies (and somewhat lesser winds). Doug is riding with us until tomorrow night when we plan to stop in Rockport, MA where he can get a train connection back to Providence. We are stopped for the night on a mooring in Onset Bay at the western end of the Cape Cod Canal and will leave at dawn tomorrow to take advantage of favorable currents in the canal.
