We left South Harbour Village Marina around 1:00 this afternoon. We saw that the winds had died and many boats were passing through so we got ourselves going.
The winds were still 20 knots but they were calling for rains down at Southport. 20 miles away up in Carolina Shores, we have had no rain but expect some during the night.
The photo is of the Cape Fear Inlet and lighthouse. The waters were good to cross...not the 2 ft. as was reported for the prior 2 days.
Our daughter, Danielle, did well for the extensive surgery she endured. She had bone grafting done, had 4 rods plus 2 screws put in her lower neck. We got her home on Thursday and she must rest for a good while before she's back to normal. So grateful we could go help her.
