Day 2
16 November 2012 | Taylor Bayou anchorage
Beverly/sunny and 66F
It was an iffy start to the day. We got stuck backing out of our space at Stingaree. Fortunately, a nice fisherman pulled us off. Blame it on the early wake up time - not used to that yet. After that, it was a pretty steady drive down the ICW. Quite a bit of barge traffic going the other way, but only one going our way that held us up for a little while til there was room to pass. We saw lots of birds and a few cows, but no alligators (sigh). We pulled into Taylor Bayou earlier than we anticipated and were anchored by 4 pm. Another successful day! Ralph's got his beer, I've got my wine, and we're enjoying the peace and quiet.
Pictures are sunset from Stingaree marina and a shot of tonight's anchorage.
