Welcome to St. Augustine

Beverly/partly cloudy and warm

We are on a mooring at the St. Augustine Municipal Marina. Yesterday we covered 51.6 miles from Daytona in 10 hours (partly due to current running our way), but since we left late we ran out of daylight before reaching our destination. Our solution was to anchor in South St. Augustine near the State road 312 bridge. We had a quiet night and left this morning close to slack tide to make it easier to pick up a mooring. Everything went smoothly and here we are. We will be here a week doing boat tasks, provisioning, and visiting with our friends Dot and John, who live here. And since the marina/mooring field is conveniently located downtown we plan to do some sightseeing as well. More pictures and info to follow!
