Emerald Rock mooring field

Emerald Rock and boats from top of trail
We wanted to experience a different part of the Land and Sea Park, so this time we took a mooring at Emerald Rock, on the west side of Warderick Wells. It was as beautiful as we expected, although a long dinghy ride to park headquarters if the wind and waves are against you. We were welcomed to our mooring by a couple of sharks! We had a great time with the lookee bucket, checking out the underwater corals and fish. We also hiked a couple of trails from Rendezvous beach, one to some plantation ruins and the beaches, cliffs, and tide pools on the Sound side, and another to a hill overlooking the Banks side. We even saw a couple of the native hutia (like guinea pigs).
Tomorrow it's on to Big Major Spot.
