Boot Key Revisited

Boot Key from the west
On Thursday we made the trip from Rodriguez Key to Boot Key Harbor. We motor-sailed again, making the 50 mile trip in about 9 hours. We took a mooring for a few days and then moved outside, anchoring with a great view of the Seven Mile Bridge and Boot Key. While in the harbor we got some boat tasks done, enjoyed the hot showers, and went to Publix and the liquor store to get provisions. We also had a great visit and delicious meal with Keith and Carol on Moonlight Sue, another Cherubini Hunter 36 from Texas.
We have a good weather forecast for the next 4 days, so plan to head north tomorrow through the fun crab pot mazes. We will be stopping at Little Shark River and Indian Key, in the Everglades (hope to see some interesting wildlife). Then it's on to Marco Island on our way to the Fort Myers area.
