Marco Island again

Osprey family - sorry, the baby is kind of hard to see.
Yesterday was another day of mostly smooth water and light winds, which meant we motored partway and motorsailed the rest. On the way to Marco Island we saw dolphins, a sea turtle, and lots of sea birds. (Unfortunately, there were also some crab pots.) We anchored near a manatee speed zone sign, and above you see our neighbors - an osprey family. There was also usually a gull on the green marker, which irritated the osprey mom. She would spread her wings and call out, but the gull wasn't intimidated. There were 2 babies and we watched both parents feed and care for them. We ended up spending an extra day due to unfavorable winds so had a lot of observation time. It was fun! But tomorrow's forecast is good so we'll be leaving in the morning.
