Whiskey wine and wildlife festival
The library sponsored a bunch of activities this month in conjunction with Georgia's Big Read book, The Wizard of Earthsea. The monthly First Friday activities included a dragon parade. There was a quest which consisted of looking for secret names at various businesses in downtown Brunswick and recording them on the library's website. I participated and actually won tickets to 2 events here. Yay!
Other activities we participated in here this month included an anti-litter campaign with the dedication of a pelican statue stuffed with litter, and a lecture and tour of a shark research vessel called Osearch (check out their website).
We found a whiskey wine and wildlife festival at Jekyll island. Our son and his girlfriend visited and attended the festival with us. We ate a fantastic brunch, drank many different types of whiskey and wine, and toured Jekyll island.
