Here's a new critter we haven't seen before. These are called Mobela Rays.
They come flying out of the water 4-6 feet, maybe three at a time, and by the time the first 3 land (with a belly flop) another 2 or 3 fly out. It is the oddest thing to watch and pretty hard to get a good photo. I took about 50 shots of them over the course of 5 days and got only a few decent photos. They remind you of the Bellagio Hotel and the dancing waters in Las Vegas. Up and down, several at once, over and over. And by the time you grab the camera it's all over. When you're not looking you know they are there because you hear the slapping when they hit the water. We started calling them belly-floppers. Now we just say "flopper!".
