Quite Aire?
22 January 2014 | At Anchor-Norman's Cay
Greeting from blowing rolling Norman's Cay.
Kind of a sleepless night last night as the cold front that brought several inches of snow to much of the NE Coast and shutdown Washington DC brought us 30+ knots of wind.
Winds came a little more south than expected at first. Although we are fairly protected the wind mixed with the 1-2 knot current churned all night. Now they have clocked around to the NW and the island has cut down much of the fetch.
No conching today but we still have two that are cleaned and ready to go in the icebox. Conch pizza tonight!
The wind is forecast to start settling soon and be good for sailing tomorrow. We are looking at getting underway and heading into the park in the morning.
