Titusville (ICW Mile 876)
01 April 2014 | At Anchor
We started today trying to think of an appropriate April Fools joke. None that we thought of would have been believable to those who know us so we decided to just let it go!
About ten minutes after we posted the last blog expounding on how we were alone on our mooring ball, a boat tied alongside. a small double ender that from afar looked like a Calypso "mimi-me".
It was a Southern Cross 28 owned by an older couple. This was their 30th year cruising through Vero Beach. They were very nice and seemed excited to explore the area one more time!
Yesterday, Monday, we left our mooring ball at 0750. Motoring against a light north wind we anchored on the Indian River, near Melbourne, at 1631.
This morning we were off again at 0800. The forecast light east winds became NNW as the day went on. Go figure?!?
At 1615 we anchored just north of Titusville.
