Sunny, 70s
From the overload at Universal to the stark focus of the Kennedy Space Center. Black and white, attention to detail, precision. Aside from the lump in the throat moments, a couple things stand out. The relatively tiny rocket that launched the Mercury capsule. As Alan Shepard apparently said while waiting for launch, "Let's light this candle!" And the massive scale of the Saturn 5 rocket. There is a full scale one inside. And we went from one to the other in just a few years. And did it all with slide rules!
