10 December 2010 | Manjack Cay
A gorgeous Caribbean sunrise today. Cumulus clouds floating by with the low sun painting golden tones everywhere. Alex went off through the mangrove cut to the ocean side to look for diving. It was marginal and it looked like rain was on the way so we moved on to our major stop: Green Turtle Cay.
Manjack Cay is a highlight so far. We learned a bit about the island from the three Canadian boats we had sundowners with last night. Bill and his wife (from away) finally figured out how to get clean title on a chunk of the island and have started creating a wonderful enclave of a few homes. Cruisers are welcome on their beach, to hike on their trails and come say hello at their home. There was a bonfire on the beach but I passed due to my lingering bug.
