Crew reinforcements
21 December 2010 | Man o' War Cay
Sunny, NE 10
Christine, Meggie and all the bags made it to Treasure Cay airport yesterday afternoon, on time, albeit exhausted! For the Bahamas, a minor miracle. Bags of booty which the other scallywag crew have been warned, "No peeking!" The ipod with the Christmas music arrived, so we are in the full spirit now.
We hustled over to Man o' War Cay today in search of a Boston Whaler belonging to Tommy of the Catalina a few days ago. He kindly offered it to us to use while we are in the area. The locals (descendents of Loyalists from the Revolution) have not seen the Whaler or the caretaker for some time. I suspect we are being played for Jimmie the Dunce.
Nevermind, we will take advantage of the momentary calm tomorrow morning to show Christine the reefs of Fowl Cay. Then in the forecast building westerly to a secure marina in Marsh Harbor to await the arrival of Andrew from Manhattan. Maybe Santa will do some last minute shopping in addition to replenishing the fridge!
