It's beginning to feel a bit like Christmas
23 December 2010 | Marsh Harbor
Breezy, NW 15-20
Marsh Harbor is the place to shop for all manner of supplies. The big grocery store is "just like home" and some of the prices are surprisingly affordable.
Andrew arrived from New York, just as we were sampling a goombay smash at the marina bar happy hour. We were wondering when he might arrive and the bartender offered to call the cabbie on the VHF, which is used as the all purpose business tool here. "He's getting out of the cab now at the head of the stairs." A happy reunion!
Christine busted out the little Christmas tree she brought in her luggage. Some of you may know that we generally have a 12, 13, even 14 foot freshly cut evergreen tree at home for the past 23 years and decorating that is a multi evening event. This Lilliputian sweetie was done in a wink.
We will probably not have signal tomorrow so we are sending our best Christmas wishes and love to you now.
