A walk to the wild side
13 January 2011 | Warderick Wells
Sunny, NE 20
As we were letting the NE 20 blow us down wind we made a pit stop back at Warderick Wells to drop off a couple big bags of beach plastic collected by a fellow cruiser at Shroud. And hiked over to the blow holes near Boo Boo Hill. Lest the gentle reader think that sailing in the Bahamas is all pink sand and glowing sunsets, the windward side of most of these islands is a forbidding sight of crashing waves and jagged rock. The inattentive skipper could lose his boat in a heartbeat here.
