When the wind is easting, the fish be feasting

Alex finally got his mahi mahi! A little coaching and some ballyhoo bait from a fellow angler Sam at Compass Cay and he was primed. It was a bit of an adventure getting it into the bucking dinghy in 3 foot seas.
Then he caught a good size barracuda coming through Dotham Cut. The full ebb was going out four knots and we were surfing in at 8 knots. I didn't look back. We didn't stop for the barracuda. He just got dragged for a bit until Alex popped him right on deck. Freezer full of fish now!
We're anchored in the lee of Black Point Settlement for a couple days while it blows 20 knots out of the east. Ten sailboats came across the banks as we came in the cut. Guess everyone will be feasting at Lorraine's Café.
