Haircut with a view
21 March 2011 | Black Point Settlement
Cutting what remains of the Captain’s coif is not a lengthy affair. However, even if you are bald as a cue ball, do not pass up the opportunity to have a haircut by Ida on the back porch of her laundramat in Black Point. You will not forget it.
Actually this photo was from a prior visit. Today is not a Chamber of Commerce day. Cloudy and rainy and blowing like stink. (But you don’t want to see a photo of that do you!) However, Calypso is sitting like a duck on a mill pond. She is snuggled up with the fleet of catamarans in 8 feet of water in the windward corner of this protected anchorage. All the other monohulls are a quarter to a half mile back and with the corresponding fetch. King Kut!
We’ll have to gear up for the trek ashore as we have laundry to do as well as Meg’s walks. Haydi and David arrive tomorrow and this stuff should be just a memory by then.
