Got cheese?
31 May 2011 | Paris
The limo whisked us from Charles De Gaulle to the beautiful Tave home in St. Germain en Laye. After a brief nap, a walking tour of town was in order to help shake off the jet lag.
We were treated to the tiny storefronts that are the traditional way of shopping: the bakery with baguettes and croissants, the open air market on the town square, the butcher and of course the cheese shop. The dusky aroma of several dozen cheeses, all sitting unwrapped on the shelf waiting to be sliced and handwrapped by Monsieur Dubois. We could get used to this. Luckily we are slated to burn some big calories with all the sightseeing!
