Despite a bit of drizzle, we biked on a dedicated bike path to the outskirts of Bordeaux. It continued to clear during the day so we loaded the bikes on the van (which Alain had driven to the end earlier in the morning) and had a brief tour of Bordeaux.

The highlight of the day was a personal tasting at the new vineyard, Lassegue, in St. Emilion belonging to the California winery Kendall Jackson. One of Jennie's friends from Scripps is related to the Jackson side. We got the VIP welcome as the sun was setting over the vineyard.
