I guess we have been spoiled by our last couple of visits to Block Island, both in the fall after Labor Day. Relatively few boats then, and a tranquil island air.

On this holiday week it seems like there is not a spare square inch in the harbor. I can’t imagine what the dinghy dock is like. Of course you could pack in another 100 boats, but boy is it crowded. No recession here. It must have been crazy over the 4th. The crowds and the wind forecast might conspire to make this a short visit.

But Kismet and New Wave are here, so we'll have a fun time with them!
