What a delight for the sailing senses

The day couldn't be finer. Warm but dry, brilliant blue sky. Bill and I went for an early bike ride and touched our toes into Nantucket Sound at Dionis Beach just as the young families were coming out. Reminded me of when Christine and I flew a little plane here for the weekend when Andrew was one and a half. We have a classic photo of the wonderment of his first wade in the ocean.
Back in the harbor, all manner of boats were abuzz. From the giant gold platers Med-moored at the dock to little runabouts off to get some fish and classic day sailors tacking through the fleet of moored boats.
And Christine bought me a pair of "Nantucket Red" trousers on her Christmas shopping expedition to town. How dandy is that!
