The gremlins are in full force coming out of the woodwork. Our battle with the sludge in the starboard tank continues and we never know when it is going to quit, but we’ve got the restart procedure down cold.
Sometimes we can get the prop on the port engine to engage, sometimes not. Why do you need engines on a sailboat you ask? Well the wind is now right on our tail and the huge full batten main on this cat does not like that.
So we are motorsailing downwind with just the yankee jib.
The chartplotter went on the fritz long enough to give us fits but then mysteriously came back to life.
Hi ho, a sailor’s life for me.
