We came to the dock today. The nominal reason is that cousin Wayne arrives late tonight and the captain thought it would be easier get him aboard.
It is an occasional treat to come to the dock overnight. Wash the boat down, fill the tanks, do a pump out of the forward holding tank with the busted macerator, get a good charge on the batteries, easy trips ashore for Meg, ice, trash, groceries, spare parts, you get the idea.

And it just so happens, this is the Blues Festival weekend in Rockland. Can you say, one huge party! Of course people have to get in to mood. We arrived just as the “regulars” were arriving in their boats to get the prime spots. Mind you this is Thursday morning and the music doesn’t start until Saturday. Some year we’ll have to come and stay through the weekend.
