Slackers are we

Still hot hot hot
We almost never stop at Camden, the Edgartown of Maine. The prevailing SW wind brings a significant surge into the harbor, the moorings are expensive, town is crowded. Today we came because Andrew moved the car here from Rockland and we planned to climb Mt. Battie overlooking town. Had a lovely sail after dropping Andrew off and yes all the boats were jumping on their moorings when we arrived. We all concluded that today was not the day for a hike due to the heat wave blanketing the East. So we “climbed” Mt. Battie on the auto road. Cool breezes and panoramic view greeted us at the summit. And the heat had beaten back the crowds in town as we toured around for a bit when we got back. Lovely place.
We are well satisfied with Calypso, but here we are surrounded with uber sailing yachts of mega proportions, good taste, and very deep pockets. A huge red one named “Red Sky” even has to post a red light on the top of her mast… to ward off low flying aircraft.
