Halloween

October 31
It is a beautiful morning in Bath. We have some last minute proviisioning to do. After visiting the local gift shop, lunch out and a nap we are offered a shower at a neighbors house. The last real shower (the kind with lots of water) that we'll have for a few days.
After our showers the "sunset drinks" are served. We don't linger long this time, it's halloween! I'm not sure who enjoys halloween here more, the kids or the adults! Everyone dresses up and it turns into one big "block party". The houses are all decorated with lights and tiki torches. We join Connie and Rick on their porch on Main street where the action is. The town of Bath has a population of 250. We estimated that we must have given out candy to at least 300 children! The couple across the street makes a pot of chilli that must feed 200 people. They have been doing this forever and the word is out! What a treat!
We head back to the boat about 9:00- we have an early morning.
