We have known that Jimmy Buffett would be performing in Key West on April 1st for some time. The week before the show a beautiful yacht named St. Somewhere ( the name of Buffett's new CD) arrived from Road Town,Tortolla, BVI. (Jimmy, a wealthy parrot head or just a coincidence?) You couldn't buy tickets for this show, you had to win them. With something like 65,000 entries for 200 seats, that was a long shot. He is playing at the historic San Carlos theater on Duval Street. There will also be a beach party at Higgs beach where they'll show him live. Since I didn't win tickets, I considered stalking him between the theater and the Margaritaville restaurant. I'm a big fan, but I'm not that crazy. Well, maybe just considering this makes me a little crazy. Anyway, I decided that we needed to have a party! We have sirius radio on the boat and we can listen to the broadcast live there. Then, Heather sent me a link to Margaritaville t.v. It has a link for chromecast. We took our chromecast up to the captain's lounge and hooked it up to the big screen. It worked and we watched you tube videos of Jimmy Buffett. The live link wouldn't work until the concert started. Everyone on our dock was up for a party! Carl and I made a liquor run on our bikes. Everyone gathered in the captain's lounge. I made a jug of margaritas and we ordered pizzas from Roostica. Carl hooked up the electronics while Denise and I went to pick up the pizzas. We returned at show time and Carl said there seemed to be a problem with the broadcast. We had to watch on my tablet. Then, Joseph went to his boat and brought his notebook and a cable to hook to the t.v. and yay.....we had Buffett on the big screen. Towards the end of the concert, Jimmy said that he was going by Margaritaville and then to the Higgs beach party. I knew it! It was a great concert and everyone really had a good time! So much fun in fact that it was decided that we would get together Sunday for Easter dinner. Let's see.... what can I make for that?
