SeaQuell In Treasure Cay
10 April 2016
SeaQuell made it across. They said it was a "lumpy" passage. They checked in with customs in Green Turtle and came to Treasure Cay by way of Don't Rock. We took our dinghy out along with Don to meet them as they came into the mooring field. We found only one mooring available as we motored around the boats. To make it easier for them to find, Don picked it up. Once they were tied up we boarded their boat. It was great to see them again. After our reunion, we all boarded our two dinghies and went in for them to check into the office before 5. Their dinghy was damaged during their crossing, so we will let them use one of ours. After checking in and a quick tour of the facilities, we all (Maggie included) headed for Coco's on the beach. We enjoyed a few rounds of Bahama Mamas and Goombays along with grouper fingers and cracked conch. Back on the dock we decided to meet for a game of dominoes on SeaQuell later. Becky, Robert and Maggie took Don's dink back to SeaQuell. We enjoyed an evening of dominoes and stories. We're just missing Judy.
The next day, after Robert repaired the dinghy and generator, we rented a golf cart. We picked up our lunch from the food truck and went to the public beach to eat. It was a beautiful day. We toured around Treasure, showing Becky and Robert the neighborhood. We ended up at the Bahama Beach Club for drinks and Becky and I had ours in the hot tub.
Doug, a friend of Robert and Becky's, has a lot with a dock here. They moved SeaQuell over there for their last night here and rafted up to Doug's power cat. Carl and I rode our bikes over and Don joined us for dinner. Becky made pork bbq and coleslaw. We brought baked beans and Florence's mac'n'cheese. Doug has a pretty lot with palm trees. We ate in his new addition next to the golf cart garage. After dinner we said goodbye to Becky and Robert. They are leaving in the morning to explore Little Harbour before picking up guests in Marsh Harbour. We rode back in the dark. Fortunately we had lights, sort of, for our bikes.
We got up early to see Don off. Nemo is traveling with SeaQuell. They will all be here until the end of the month. We will be provisioning this week and preparing to leave as soon as weather allows to head north. I can't believe that our time here has almost come to an end.
