Mother's Day Sail

Here's the short of it:
Georgetown, S.C. to Osprey Marina: overcast, upper 70's, light winds, motored 9a.m. to 2p.m.,30 miles up the beautiful Wacamaw River.
Osprey to South Harbour Village Marina, N.C.: coffee and donuts compliments of Osprey, cool and overcast, motored 8:25a.m.-4:15p.m., 67 miles at 6.5-7.5 knots, spotted an eagle.
South Harbour Village Marina to Swan Point Marina: motored 7:50a.m.-6p.m., 63 miles at 6.5-7.5 knots, Wrightsville, Figure Eight and Surf City bridges, pelicans, dolphins and osprey, dinner at River View Cafe on Snead's Ferry.
Swan Point Marina to Oriental Marina: sunny, 86°, 6:38a.m.-5p.m., 65 miles,Onslow Beach and Atlantic Beach bridges,across the Neuse River to Oriental.
Oriental to Dowry Creek Marina: breakfast at The Bean, heavy fog in the morning, 93°, 8a.m.- 2:30p.m., motored up the Neuse, 51 miles, across the Pamlico River and up the Pungo River, put the sreens in to keep the horseflies out.
Dowry Creek to Elizabeth City: the dock master have roses out for Mother's Day before we left the dock at 7:30 a.m., light winds, 90°, 82 miles motoring the Pungo River to the Alligator -Pungo Canal, where we spotted three deer at the waters edge,up the Alligator River across the Albemarle Sound where the wind kicked up out of the N.E. to 20 knots and we sailed up the Pasquotank River to Elizabeth City. Docked on the wall at the town dock at 6:30 p.m.
