It has been a fun process getting a crew together for this trip. We all gathered together a month ahead of our trip so that everyone could meet and we could discuss provisions. Some of the crew knew each other from our sailing days at GRSA. It was a fun night and we could already tell that this was going to be a great group of ladies.
Day 1 November 21, 2023
We all arrived in St. Thomas around 2:30 p.m.
We had our complimentary shot of Cruzan rum as we entered the airport terminal. After collecting our bags, we took a taxi to Charlotte Amalie where we boarded a ferry to Road Town, Tortola. After clearing through customs it was another short taxi ride to the Moorings charter base. Our sailing catamaran, 'Meow or Never', was waiting for us.
After a brief introduction to our boat from Junior, we stowed our provisions and walked down the dock to Charlie's for dinner. After returning to the boat, we organized our quarters and turned in for some well deserved sleep. A night aboard the boat before a charter is highly recommended!
